On http://pokezam.com/anime/movies/03.php, It says that Professor Hale's computer screen had and Espeon and Latias destop icon on it. Should we look further into this? --Ryguy 9:55, 21 August 2007 (EST)
Crystal Pokémon - is it correct?
I may have missed something, but are the Pokémon dreamed up by Molly really called Crystal Pokémon in the movie? There seems to be no mentioning of Crystal Poké Balls either, the blue balls used by Molly are just not named. Or am wrong? --Pokeresp 23:34, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Place in the timeline
As Kuki wanted to add something about the subject to the article, I think it should be discussed.
On one hand, the events in the movie couldn't have taken place before Fowl Play (because until this episode Ash didn't have his Noctowl) and after Hassle in the castle (as in this episode Brock's Zubat evolves into Golbat).
On the other hand, according to the articles about the anime, EP154 was first aired in Japan on June 29, 2000 and in the United States on April 28, 2001 whereas Spell of the Unown appeared in Japan on July 8, 2000 and in North America on April 6, 2001. It means that EP154 was aired in the United States later than the movie. Does it mean that anime and movies were not coordinated in the United States' theaters? If so, then the described place in the timeline is correct and this info should be added to the article.
P.S.I think such info should be added to all articles about the Pokémon movies. --Pokeresp 09:13, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
:There's not really much to say.  The movies always have the group's current team as of the Japanese airing, whereas the US premier tends to be earlier in the year so wouldn't be as current in the Kids WB era. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 11:55, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Unown Energy
Probably all the Unown energy comes from humans. When they move from their alphabetical form to Pokémon World, they get together by a presence of a strange energy. Althought it would be caused by Unowns' psychic power, when they stop getting envolved with humans dreams that power also stops. So, it might mean that energy was comming from human minds. From this, it can be conclude that only strong-mind people can held the power of the Unown. A weak one could not generate that energy completely. Beside this, a powerful relation about the Unown and the humans desires exists. So, it's quite difficult to know if these pokémon would exist without people. http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/c/ca/Unown_J.png

"Pokémon 3: The Movie - Spell of the Unown"
Shouldn't it be "Pokémon the Movie 3 - Spell of the Unown?" That's what the chapter book calls it, anyways. Zesty Cactus 19:51, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
:No... unless it's like that for all of the books. The way we have it right now for most of them is:
The Power of One (title)
Pokémon the Movie 2 - The Power of One (Japanese: 幻のポケモン ルギア爆誕 Mirage Pokémon: Lugia's Explosive Birth; officially Revelation-Lugia in Japan) is the second original series movie, blah blah blah blah blah... etc.

Revision as of 01:40, 20 March 2012

I've actually got this movie at home, and I was wondering if I could or should scan the cover for a pic here. Or will a movie poster on the internet suffice?

Trivia Bits

"The book that Spencer reads to Molly supposedly has a picture of a Beautifly in it." "Some of the Unown that appear on Professor Oak's computer are, as of yet, unreleased."

Call me crazy, but I'm a little skeptical on these bits. Any second opinions here?--Porygon 09:50, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Bumping this again. I'm tempted to take out the Beautifly part since I personally don't buy it, but I'm a little interested to hear about the unreleased Unown. Thanks guys.--Porygon 08:34, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Try looking at http://serebii.net/movies/entei/pics22.shtml for the Beautifly picture. Pikachu25 00:38, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Those pictures are really good. If you look, you can see the Beautifly and the unrealeased Unown. Ryguy 10:31, 19 August 2007 (EST)

The unreleased Unown picture is at http://serebii.net/movies/entei/pics12.shtml. Shouldn't someone put those pictures onto the pages? --Shiny Noctowl 14:47, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Those pictures are tiny! The Beautifly wings match but it is a fairy, not the Pokémon.
And I still don't see the Gen III Unown. --FabuVinny T-C-S 14:55, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Maybe it is a prototype for Beautifly. Why shouldn't someone put those pictures onto the page? Even though they are tiny, those are the best pictures available. The Unown picture is the second picture on the right side. It's not Gen III Unown, it's Unown that have never been released. --Shiny Noctowl 14:58, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

6c40mdv.jpg That's a fantasy image, not a prototype. --FabuVinny T-C-S 15:00, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

What about the pictures of the unreleased Unown? Aren't they okay? --Shiny Noctowl 15:40, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

The loose design of that picture was to make the point that the Unown are only known in legend in the anime world, thus the artist had probably never seen a real one. --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:27, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
If you look closely, you can see that the pictures of the Unown are supposed to be photographs, not drawings. And besides, some of the pictures look nothing like the 28 real Unown. --Shiny Noctowl 00:53, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
