Help

I can help out with Eevee's, Flareon's, and Carnivine's German species and Furfrou's Korean species (well, if I had a list of all Hangul). Pikachu Bros. (talk) 18:50, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Sure, add whatever you can. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:54, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Should we have a transliterated column for Korean as well? Pikachu Bros. (talk) 19:03, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Most "other languages" articles had a Korean transliteration column, so why not this one as well? Also, once I return from my classes, I can try and tackle as much of the French column as I can. Berrenta (talk) 19:57, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Because the model I chose didn't (I went for a simple one). FWIW, though, of the pages I listed under "See also", 3 (Abilities, characters, and locations) have no Korean transliteration column, while the other 4 do. It may be "most", but not by much; a standard is not overwhelmingly obvious. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:25, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
I understand. Whatever works. Berrenta (talk) 22:30, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
I should have the species names around 4:00PM tonight. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 18:19, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
In CST, by the way. I'll have transliterated Korean in {{tt}} hovernotes. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 18:59, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
It would be better if you just write it after the Korean script, like List of Abilities in other languages does. Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:16, 17 April 2014 (UTC)

(resetting indent) Whoops, forgot to mention that I was going to edit this as well. That's all I have at the moment though; I will update as more trades come in. :D ht14 05:21, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

I totally forgot about this, I'll have it done this afternoon (CDT). Pikachu Bros. (talk) 17:41, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Can someone double-check a German species?

I grabbed species from the other language wikis that I could, and I ran into an odd difference in German in one case. The German wiki says the species for Sandile is "Wüstenkroko", but for Krokorok, it says "Wüstenkrokodil", when in other languages, they're both the same (in English it's "Desert Croc"). Can anyone double-check that those two actually have different species in German? Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:09, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Solved. The German online Pokedex says "Wüstenkroko" for Krokorok. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:45, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Sorting

You're probably already aware of this, but it seems the sorting for the English is treating the {{tt| as first alphabetically. Making it <name>* should do the trick... Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 13:57, 4/22/2014 (UTC)

Are you actually clicking the headers to sort the table, or are you just talking about the intial order? Because clicking the headers seems to sort it fine, for me. The initial order is like that just because I was/am lazy; it's the order it ended up in from the sort I put it through. Someone else can place those correctly if they want, but I hope to only do it once: after I've added all the data for the other languages. If it'll get mainspaced before that, though, I'll do it sooner. Tiddlywinks (talk) 14:09, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Carnivine isn't Käfertot

I changed it to "Käfertod", like my X version's German Pokédex entry says, but when the page was revamped, my change was reverted. I'm here to say that the game actually says "Käfertod", not "Käfertot", and that it should not be changed back. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 19:08, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I neglected to mirror that in the data I was using. I have now in case I ever use it again. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:20, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

Russian name of categories

Hello, might I suggest that we expand this list to include Russian categories as all the new ones have their translated and all of the older that have been featured on a card have their as well so I think it's time to include them as well. --Raltseye 18:18, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Pokémon games are not released in Russian. I'm not convinced that the page should include other languages besides those used in the games, as many Pokémon have their category names translated for the anime, and in this format it is not convenient or easy to use when there are many columns. --Abcboy (talk) 21:20, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
Okay, I guess that makes sense. I'll just make that list in my own user space then for the record when I've got time. --Raltseye 21:31, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
