Revision as of 02:00, 19 July 2012

I plan on getting the game eventually, but I would like to suggest if these characters could have separate articles so that we can write information about their real life counterparts, and more information on their game characters. I think it would be really beneficial for them to have separate pages. MaverickNate 16:42, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

I would agree that the characters get pages on their own, but only if it's limited to the notable ones, as I don't think there wouldn't be much information for "generic" characters such as Koroku and Nagayasu (I think one page will do just fine). --超龍對話 16:57, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
I like the idea of having separate articles and real life comparison. But as Chao said, it should be limited to the most significantly notable characters. Also, I forgot to note down the quotes. So, if you plan to work on the articles, it will be great if you can note down the quotes as well (especially during the kingdom battles). I will try to do it myself as well but it is not possible for me to do it for the characters who appear early in the game, unless I reset my progress. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 17:05, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Also, I think we should at least note the names of the real life counterparts to the non-notable ones, although they're not easy to figure out. Moving on, will anyone be doing sprites? (There are around 300) --超龍對話 17:14, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

One character's name seems to be in question

Do we use Aya or Ayagozen? Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 01:41, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Hmm...Gozen is a honorific, so her name is "Aya". Guess we'll go with that. Ataro (talk) 01:51, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
I'm kind of going with Aya. It's like N. We still call him N, but we make a mention on his page what his full name is. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:03, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
I'll go with whatever the game calls her (which seems to be Aya). The official site had some inconsistencies with the kingdom names (e.g. Aurora/Primus, Greenleaf/Arbora/Sylvan). And we had at least two other characters (Kai and Ina) whose names were shortened. The only problem with this now is that there's another character named Aya, so I suggest moving that to "Aya (Kanto)", and have Ayagozen's page be called as "Aya (Ransei)". --超龍對話 05:05, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
We'll cross that bridge once the characters start getting their articles (I'm pretty sure we all have ideas on how to handle everything involved with the region; what if she doesn't get a full-blown article?). That said, there are quite a number of minor characters that have historical relevance (and not simply just the ones with profiles and unique art). Would we be adding that information here or should there be a separate "facts you didn't want to know connecting Conquest to Japanese history" page, since there's no telling how much it would take up and how much we could slip in to other pages with their connections (since some seem entirely unrelated to any of the "important" characters). Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 11:58, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
My plan was to make a page for every kingdom. We can put character bios on there perhaps? I need to get back into playing this game. I have a lot of stuff planned out for it, I was just going slowly so I could record character names and teams, but this page will help with that. I need to update the Sidegame template with a box for Conquest. I'll upload a bunch of sprites, and all the Pokemon too. I'll just need help with identifying some of the characters, if some of you'd like to sit down and help with that sometime. :) Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 18:54, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

Free Warriors

I think that while they have a "start" location, they don't necessarily stick around there. Morikiyo (listed for Viperia) and Tomonobu (listed for Illusio) can both also be found in Cragspur. Do we give the free Warriors their own section and then give them a "found in" whatever, or do we put their entry under whichever kingdoms they can be found in? As in Morikiyo would be listed under both the Kingdom of Viperia and the Kingdom of Cragspur (and whatever other kingdoms he's found in). Granted, the second option will kill the page, but throwing it out there anyway. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 15:43, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

From what I can tell, any non-leader Warlord (any with silver backgrounds instead of gold) can randomly be found in any nation, and don't really have any discernable allegiance. Of course, that might just be when you get to the special episodes. --RiverAura 03:42, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
