Talk:List of Korean Pokémon names
The romanisation seems a bit ad-hoc: 구구 Kugu (RR: Gugu) is McCune-Reischauer but 갸라도스 Gyaradoseu (M-R: Kyaradosŭ) is Revised Romanization. (Some don't even match either scheme.) Personally, I like McCune-Reischauer better since it's a bit more phonetic (like Hepburn vs. Kunreisiki), but the official romanisation in South Korea is the more phonemic Revised Romanization (just like Kunreisiki in Japan...).
If I were to draw up a table with both...

You know, Zhen, that isn't such a bad idea. In fact, I've redone the list based on your proposal. I also filled in the Hangul versions of several more Korean names, but I think that for now on I might leave the romanizations to someone with better knowledge of Korean writing, as I've been relying entirely on a chart of Korean letters I found on Google.
Also, in case you're wondering, I got all the Korean names from this page, which gives them for all Pokémon up to Celebi. Unfortunately, it only lists the Generation III Pokémon with English, German, and French names. Woopert 16:55, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
I can romanise some of the names into RR (until now I was not aware that two different romanisation systems existed). If anyone finds any errors in my romanisations, go ahead and fix them, as I'm a newbie at Korean. --Ketsuban
I think yours are actually M-R with RR spelling for vowels and ŏ ŭ -- the number one sign is that there are apostrophes, and P T K are used at the beginning for unaspirated consonants. (But, using B D G and the end of syllables matches neither system) - 振霖T 23:04, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
