Headbutting

Why are there so many different settings for headbutting.
Are the common ard rare actually necessary, because the numbers don't make any sense (i.e. they don't add up to 100).
If anyone can somehow explain why this is like this, please tell me, as I'd like to know.

In Gen II, what difference is it between Pokémon found by "Headbutt" and Pokémon found by "Headbutt (Special Tree)"? Isn't all Pokémon found using Headbutt found on Special Trees? Or are the specialer trees?. There is no explanation to these on any article on Bulbapedia and I don't understand what the difference is. Also the Pokémon that appear when I headbutt trees on this route on my Pokémon Crystal doesn't correctly correspond to the one's that are listed for Pokémon Crystal on the article. The one's I've found here (Headbutting for like 20 min) are Hoothoot, Exeggcute, and Spinarak Ledyba (I might have forgotten a Pokémon but I don't think so), and this is during night, if that would matter. I haven't tested other routes yet nor Headbutting during the day. TorNyan (talk) 21:52, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Pokemon Encounter Levels

I've encountered Golduck at level 13 and 15 (which is weird) on this route before on my SoulSilver version. Is my game off or did someone do the numbers wrong here? If it helps, I've used Action Replay on the cartridge before for legendary pokemon encounters, but not on this save file. --LynnCreed 01:36, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Gen. IV Map?

I noticed the map on this article is a Generation II version of the map. Is there really none for Generation IV readily available? I believe the Route looks different in design as well. CycloneGU (talk) 15:47, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
