Wouldn't it be better to have a list of all of the moves that are affected by this ability? Tesh 17:38, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

It would seem kinda obvious, but I suppose a list couldn't hurt. I'd just assume it's anything that has "punch", DynamicPunch, Mega Punch, Comet Punch... TTEchidna 23:14, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

It's just that when your trying to view Pokemon abilities then its annoying having to switch between pages...Tesh 21:18, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

I just added the list. If it were needed, I'd suggest creating a category, too. --Johans 21:32, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
I was thinking of making a category myself... --DarkfireTaimatsu 21:33, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Does Focus Punch count? TinaTheKirlia File:281MS.gif 22:11, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
It should. TTEchidna 19:02, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you all. Tesh 18:28, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

A dispute about the numbers

Bulbapedia says this ability boosts power by 30%. But serebii.net (the other resource I go to) says it's 20%. Is there a way someone can find out which one is right? ~ToastypkFile:Trozeiani157.gif - Talk 03:15, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm... Lets test this. 486TESH377TALK378FUN379 14:45, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

I've looked at other sites and they all seem to say that there is a 20% increase. 486TESH377TALK378FUN379 15:01, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Is there an investigation committee of sorts? I wouldn't know where else to look, and I'd have no idea how to test it myself. ~ToastypkFile:Trozeiani157.gif - Talk 20:32, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
It's 20%. Changing. Tina δ 20:37, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Drain Punch?

Shouldn't this be in the list? --ZellMurasame 21:20, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

It is now. TESHIGIGAS 13:51, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

DynamicPunch and Shadow Punch

Shouldn't Dynamicpunch be in the list too? It is obtainable only via trading from Emerald, but it is a punching move. And what about Shadow Punch? What if Iron Fist is SkillSwapped to a Pokémon with Shadow Punch, like Gengar? Piotr mil 18:34, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Why aren't these added in the list??? It should be...--Wowy 08:26, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, they have to be confirmed. Sucker Punch, for example, is probably not a real punch because it can be learned by, say, Skitty. Some things might have been lost in translation. --Raijinili 12:22, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Others?

What about poison jab? is that one?Happizelpom 20:57, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

Nope. I think that involves jabbing (i.e. Your hands are not pulled into a fist), not punching which involves fists. Just look at the pedo's Croagunk...Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links13:32 14 Aug 2008

Testing moves

Doing these tests on a Lv 50 wild Shuckle.. Also testing the Mystery Dungeon moves.

  • DynamicPunch - Damage increased
  • Shadow Punch - No change
  • Dizzy Punch - Damage increased
  • Meteor Mash - No Change
  • Hammer Arm - No Change

In conclusion, there's two moves which this list lacks at least. I didn't test Poison Jab for the above. Gywall(Talk) 11:43, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Just tested Strength and Rock Smash which are described as punches in description. Both are incompatible. Gywall(Talk) 18:15, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Interesting. Hitmonchan hasn't been able to have Dizzy Punch legally since Crystal. Hint hint. TTEchidna 00:19, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
