Does this work if you try to use Illusion to copy Zorua/Zoroark? Two examples:
* If a Zoroark is in party slot 1, and a Zorua is in party slot 6.
* If a non-shiny Zoroark is in party slot 1, and a shiny Zoroark is in party slot 6.

:Just tested this out. Zoroark can, in fact, copy not only Zorua but also other Zoroarks, as differentiated by nickname (or lack thereof). 1. Zorua/Zoroark do not copy genders, so you can be a female Zoro disguised as a male Machamp, and the opposing opponent is a Tauros with Attract. It will work, like Captivate.

2. There is a way to know that the Pokemon in question is Zoro without attacking, and just viewing. Lets say Zoro copies a Weavy, and if you see closely, the Pressure message won't pop up, therefore you know it is a Zoro even before doing anything.

Effect on AI trainers
Does a Pokémon with Illusion actually trick the AI? Or does the AI cheat and still know that it's, say, a Zorua even though the Illusion wasn't broken yet? This could easily be tested. Put a pure Fighting or Poison type Pokémon (like Machop) in the last spot in your party, put a slow Zorua (just to make sure that the AI Pokémon goes first) in the first spot and go up against a trainer with a Pokémon that has Psychic attacks, but not solely Psychic attacks.<br>
If the AI doesn't cheat, it would use a Psychic move which is super effective against Machop, the Pokémon that Zorua appears to be. If the AI does cheat, it would never use Psychic attacks because those do no damage to Zorua. I can't test this because I don't own the game, but I feel like that's vital information that is sadly missing from this article. Nixitur (talk) 16:32, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
:FWIW, it won't be notable if the AI is indeed "fooled" by Illusion. That should be expected. Tiddlywinks (talk) 16:41, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
::Maybe not, but what would be notable is how the AI would then react after that. If it tries to hit what it thinks is a Machop with a super-effective move and that Machop is inexplicably immune against that move, would it then blindly continue using that move, despite its ineffectiveness? Or would it get the hint that maybe things are not as they seem and switch to a different move? Both cases seem notable to me, but trainer AI is generally barely documented on this wiki, so that might be just me. ==Learning A Move==
In Pokémon Sun and Moon, when a Pokémon with Illusion attempts to learn a new move (at least while not in the lead spot in battle, I have not tested any other way, this was something I came across while training a Zorua with another Pokémon in the last spot on my team while battling with yet another Pokémon) it seems to use the name of the Pokémon in the last slot of the party, such as"<Pokémon in the last slot> wants to learn <Move>".
