Origin

Anyone think it should say in the "Origin" section that the Hercules beetle is, weight-for-weight, the strongest insect (strongest ANIMAL, actually) in the world? That would explain how it has such an immense Attack for a Bug-type. Diachronos 16:41, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Aerial Ace

The trivia in this article says that Heracross is the only non-flier to learn Aerial Ace by level, but I'm sure Diglett does too... That's certainly not a flier -- User:Gastly's Mama

Diglett can learn Aerial Ace, but only through a TM. Heracross can learn it by level though. PDL 01:14, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Pokédex Entries

Heracross charges in a straight line at its foe, slips beneath the foe's grasp, and then scoops up and hurls the opponent with its mighty horn. This Pokémon even has enough power to topple a massive tree. Sapphire Heracross has sharp claws on its feet. These are planted firmly into the ground or the bark of a tree, giving the Pokémon a secure and solid footing to forcefully fling away foes with its proud horn. Pinsir

I've heard that Heracross was originally going to be an evolution of Pinsir, like Scizor is to Scyther, but they changed it, and made Heracross a seperate Pokemon, since it ended up looking too different. Take a look at Pinsir's base stats, and Heracross' base stats, and you'll see that they're the same, just switched around. Just like Scyther and Scizor. They're both beetles, and Pinsir mostly learns Fighting-type moves via level-up, and Heracross IS a Fighting type. Should this be mentioned in Heracross and Pinsir's articles? Rath

HeartGold SoulSilver Locations

I found a tree in Azalea town that when headbutted yields exclusively Heracross, levels 4 or 5. The current data on Heracross says it shouldn't be found there at all since Azalea Town is a forest zone, not a mountain zone. I have the national pokedex in HeartGold version and found this after 6:00 on a Tuesday, in case any of that information matters. Upon further inspection after turning my game on and off (and inserting FireRed in the GBA slot, though I doubt that had any effect), I found a few Aipoms as well, but still mostly Heracross. The tree I was using is the corner one just under the West exit of the town. - unsigned comment from Hot Dork (talk • contribs)

Version exclusive?

The article claims Heracross and Pinsir are version excusives in Black 2 and White 2, although Heracross is not on any of the version exclusive lists for B2W2. (O++O) Dralcax (talk) 01:38, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Name

I wonder, could the 'cros(s)' part of Heracross' name also be seen as a corruption of the 'ceros' part of "rhinoceros"? Considering Heracross is both a rhinoceros beetle and Hercules beetle, I think it may fit - unsigned comment from DoomSkuller (talk • contribs)
