Grovyle the Thief?

Well shoot, I was thinking of making this article a few days ago, but it seems this was made weeks ago... blastit. >_< Well regardless, I was going to name it Grovyle the Thief, since he has been referred to as that, even on Bulbapedia, and also in the anime special. Grovyle only confirmed male in games?

Isn't he male in the show too? I mean the voice of Grovyle in the anime should show he's male there too. Is there a part in the anime that refers to him as male too? I don't remember if there is. --Brats817 04:51, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

I still don't think it's reasonable, so there. There are many males with high-pitched voices, and don't get me started on anime physics, all right? You don't have to sound so rude about it. I was only implying if wether or not he was even referred as male in the anime and the fact he has a very masculine voice. He is male in the games, and it's very unlikely characters will be a different gender in the anime. If the genders were changed, people would be complaining. --Brats817 05:04, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

OK, I don't want start an edit war so I say my opinion here. I think that Grovyle's gender is as confirmed as Character of the days' genders. He shares his seiyu with Looker and sounds like male here [1]. Why writers would've changed his gender in anime but given him masculine voice and traits? Sorry, because I agree, but it is standard policy that if it is not actually referenced in the anime, the gender is never confirmed. The word itself says it all. Yes, the voice does suggest that it is male, but policies are policies. Samjohn95 23:59, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
