Movie

How do we know it is in the movie?

Glacidia

Shouldn't it be "Glacidea" if the katakana are グラシデア, not グラシディア?--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 06:40, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes. It's Glacidea. "Glacidia" was a misspelling copied by others. Anyways, isn't it supposed to be "Glacidea Flower" not "Glacidea's Flower"? Glacidea is apparently a name of flower. The "'s" thing is a misunderstanding of Japanese "no", I think. --Maxim 15:46, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, it can get kind of annoying when people insist on translating "no" the same way every single time...--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 16:42, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

trade

what happens if you try to trade it to d/p? Lord of Origami

I'm pretty sure it's a Key Item, so you can't attach it to a Pokémon and trade it. Or can you trade Key Items? - spontaneousCombusken 16:28, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
of course its a key item. I was just being stupid. sorry. and key items cant be traded Lord of Origami

Location

How do we know that it's received in Floaroma Town. If there is no concrete proof it should be removed from the article. Guardian of Earth 11:31, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

The woman's environment. Don't forget, Shaymin created Floaroma town so it is appropriate--KukiTalk 11:35, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Check Platinum page for screenshots. tc26 11:38, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
You get it that easily??? I wonder if Uk will get the same or if well be left out again. Guardian of Earth 11:43, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Be thankful that you actually get events in your country. Also, it's a game, so you will. tc26 11:59, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Also, there's WiFi Mystery Gift now, so they won't be lazy. TorchicBlaziken (talk) 20:08, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

I know we will get the game, but they usually leave things out of the Uk version, like crystal you could get the gs ball to get celebi, no such thing in uk, so we probably wont get the Glacidea Flower.

Also we hardly ever get events, if you look at the list of nintendo events page, it covers 2006 - 2008 we are not on there once.

The last one was in 2000 when they gave out Mew at the Millenium Dome for people with Red and Blue. Thats very frequent. Also what country do you live in? as its only europe that gets left out. Guardian of Earth 12:49, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Europe gets events. It'll even get Darkrai soon. I live in a country in Asia, that's all I'm saying. tc26 12:52, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Asia doesnt get left out, Japan is Asia, also in the entire creation of Pokemon 1995-2008 Europe gets a Mew and a Darkrai, and you say we are lucky??? No, events rarely leave Japan or America Guardian of Earth 12:56, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

I meant my country, not the continent. You also got those 10Aniv and several others.tc26 12:57, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

i love somewhere no events no anything about Pokémon. Jordan. but to return to the point, apperently the item will be in game because usually when there is an event Nintendo doesn't add people to population except the green suit guy which gives you event items in gen III and gen IV and in the screenshot its a women, i think he is in the Pokémart. --Nobody777 13:21, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Changing back

Anyone know how to change Shaymin back? I used it to change Shaymin to Sky Forme and it won't go back when I use it again. tc26 09:11, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

And you got hold of Platinum how? --ケンジガール 09:12, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Internet. I can begin with the sprites tomorrow. And I saw the answer at Serebii, so nevermind. tc26 09:18, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
how do you turn Shaymin back? --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010 19:18, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
It automatically changes back when frozen/at night. ht14 19:19, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Using Glacidea Flower

It's been confirmed that you must have an event Shaymin to receive the Glacidea Flower from the girl in Floaroma, but after getting it, any Shaymin can transform using it. Blueapple128 23:56, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Hhmm, it makes sence that ANY Shaymin you would have could use it, but it sounds weird on your first visit to Floaroma town with an event Shaymin to be able to get it. I mean, that's early in the game. Can anyone REALLY CONFIRM this?--DRAGONBEASTX 18:51, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, when you think about it, not really, the event Shaymin is at level 50. On the first visit to Floraoma Town, you'd have the Coal Badge, so it wouldn't help. You'd need the Fen Badge for it to obey you. Only someone desperate would use the Shaymin --PsychicRider 19:02, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Should EVERYTHING that says you need to have the event Shaymin with you on your first visit to Floaroma town be erased? I mean, it's quite a few articles.--DRAGONBEASTX 04:17, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

USA Platinum won't allow just any Shaymin to transform, apparently. I have AR Shaymin and only the event one transforms. Does anyone else have this issue? I am aware of the frozen / daytime stipulations. Gardenia 03:16, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
I can check tomorrow, because that's when I have access to another DS, so I can trade the TRU Shaymin over and see. --PsychicRider 03:18, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes it's only the event shaymin that can transform, a regular shaymin caught in the flower paradise cant transform. Max King 23:32, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Is that the same in HG/SS? Also when you say "caught in the flower paradise" I'm assuming that includes AR shaymin too, right? --Pyritie 12:49, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
It has to be a Fateful Encounter Shaymin. For that reason, any other Shaymin (e.g. Surf glitch) cannot be used to recieve the Gracidea item. If you cheated to make the Shaymin have the "fateful encounter" message on its summary that would work too. If it is obtained via a Wi-Fi distributed Oak's Letter, the game will take the Shaymin to be fatefully encountered when captured. --Chickasaurus 13:15, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

Events Question

Is it any event Shaymin, or just the Movie 11 one?

How does the game no if it is an event Shaymin or not? Super-Max 18:22, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Maxie: It's in the article. And, know, I do not no how the game nos anything, but surely they haven't put all that extra coding in the event Pokemon for know reason at all. :p work on your spelling mate ;) — THE TROM — 21:56, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it knows it's an event Shaymin, I think the game just checks for the Classic Ribbon on a Shaymin. Pip 13:06, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Well... If you get the movie shaymin after your first visit to Floaroma, can you still get the gracidea flower?--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 02:51, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

I assume you can get the gracidea flower any time you have the movie shaymin? Not just the first visit?--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 03:25, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Yep but only once. Also, if it says "fateful encounter" on the Pokemon, then it will recieve the Gracieda.--RexRacer 03:28, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks RR... So you CAN get the flower after your first visit if you didn't have the movie shaymin then... Thanks a lot!--X, PEACE TOTHE DRAGONS ANDTHE BEASTS 03:35, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Diamond/Pearl Shaymin?

Will the Shaymin caught in Diamond/Pearl in the Flower Paradise using Oak's Letter be able to get you the Gracidea Flower, or not?

No, you can't get the Gracidea Flower with that Shaymin, since you're talking about Diamond and Pearl. In Platinum, on the other hand, I think you can, based on what the article says, anyways. Leafstorm151 17:46, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Question

I know the Shaymin needs to be fateful encounter just to get the item, but does it also need to be fateful encounter to simply USE it? Shiramu Kuromu 19:57, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Yes. If the Gracidea is used on a Shaymin without a fateful encounter, it will have no effect. --RiverAura 00:52, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Black and White

Does anyone know how to get the Gracidea in Black/White? --RiverAura 00:52, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Another question, does the Shaymin in Generation 5 still have to be Fateful Encounter to use it? ~Mima~ was here, Reimu is a loser. 00:32, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
The Gracidea giver is in Lacunosa's Pokémon Center (as least, I assume so, as she talks about Gracideas). I don't actually know whether the Fateful Encounter flag is needed, but seeing as all legitimate Shaymin so far have it and that's not likely to change, I'd guess "yes." —Minimiscience 00:51, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
