Teru-sama is not the GS Ball. I've used a Gameshark to access the event in the English version, which is somehow fully translated even though they never used it. The GS Ball in the US version is simply the GS Ball. What would you expect the item to be named? MacGuffin Ball

In the Anime Section, should it be noted that the GS Ball serves as a MacGuffin? It motivates Ash to go to Johto, but beyond that and the plot of a handful of episodes, it isn't important. Should that bit of trivia be noted?--PikamasterADV 02:11, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

More Info

It first appears in Pokéball Peril when Professor Ivy gives Ash the GS ball, and its last appearance to date is in Goin' Apricorn when Ash delivers the GS ball to Kurt. If he really does try to call it out it is going to be withing the time of those to episodes.

Also some others: In A Tent Situation Team Rocket steals the GS ball, once retrieved, Professor Oak gives Ash the GS ball to deliver to Kurt. In Once In A Blue Moon a Quagsire steals the GS Ball from Ash while he is shining it. -MasterKenobi 01:41, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

As far as we know - no. It is possible that there will be a future event, but sadly no one has location anything like it in the game's coding. Japanese name

Our anime episode listing clearly has it as "ＧＳボール" in Japanese, but then we've got this page with the katakanafied "GS" as "ジーエスボール". What'd the Japanese Crystal use? TTEchidna 10:40, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

What if...?

Trivia: Glacia's Poké Ball looking like a GS Ball

I've taken a look at Glacia's sprite, even blowing it up to 8 times its normal size, and I can't really say it is a GS Ball or even resembles one. In fact, when one zooms to this size it is quite apparent they simply took the color of the top half from the palette used for her hair in order to save memory ... kind of like what they did with Lt. Surge. I would therefore not recommend this is added as trivia, since the "it is yellow" argument (if any) could very well also be used to say, "Glacia's Poké Ball resembles a Park Ball." If agreement to this exists, I will go ahead and remove it. Haxorus 14:17, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

GS short form

Could GS be a reference to Gold and Silver, the generation II games? Or maybe the colours of the ball, so GS Ball mean the gold and silver pokeball? Or could it's colours also be a reference to the games? -B10ckH34d

Other notable sightings of the GS Ball

In episode 150 the GS ball is seen in a flashback. I don't know if this is really worth mentioning but its after A Farfetch'd Tale so technically the GS ball isn't completely forgotten at that moment. -Shambles12
