You know what stinks?

All of the symbols are jpgs. That's right, the crappy, artifacted file format. Why aren't they pngs? There any way someone could re-rip them? TTEchidna 17:55, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey, some images might work better as JPEGs!
Not the symbols, though. If anyone knows how to re-rip the symbols as PNGs, go ahead. --Shiningpikablu252 18:48, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
In all actuality, I really hoped we could even get the official Sugimori art for them, too, like we have for the badges. Didn't a booklet come out a little while ago that detailed all of the Leaders, Brains, and so on with each of their badges? I swear I saw it... TTEchidna 19:48, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
>> Sewiously. Anyone know how to, or if possible, any GameShark code to activate the Frontier Pass and Frontier Symbols on the Trainer Card? TTEchidna 07:35, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
As in ripping it off the rom?--Coolピカチュウ! 07:48, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Got the gold symbols turned into PNGs. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 09:23, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Good job. Are the silver ones any different except for a palette swap? TTEchidna 21:14, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Sinnoh Brains

Is it worth noting that the colors used for the Frontier Brains are the same as the flavor colors? Palmer = Cool/Spicy, Nejiki = Beauty/Dry, Dahliah = Tough/Sour, Cochran & Cattleya = Smart/Bitter, and Kate = Cute/Sweet. --ケンジガール 21:23, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I don't see why not. People insist on adding much, much worse trivia (no offense against your trivium meant, it's just things can get really ridiculous).--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 21:47, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
I know. I'm not even sure if this is particulary notable. Just thought I'd bring up the topic. --ケンジガール 21:51, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, my point is that I consider this an alright trivium. Re-using colors or names is pretty common in the games (contest levels named after ball levels, etc.) so it's more notable than other things.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 21:55, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Not Really, Then Nejeki would get bitter as the battle factory tests intellegence. But maybe things have changed? Atomix26 23:36, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
No one said that the flavor colors actually matched their personalities or skills, just that the colors are the same.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 06:27, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Japanese names

There seems to be a bit of an edit war over the romanizations of Noland's and Anabel's Japanese names. To try to resolve this, I'd like to point out that Datsura and Lila (rather than Datura and Lilas) are the official spellings of these names, as used on Battle Frontier tshirts sold on the Japanese Pokémon Center website back in 2005.(I made a blurry closeup based on available archived images; actual closeups weren't archived, unfortunately) Additionally, while lilas is the French word for lilac, lila is the equivalent Spanish word.

As for Dahlia and Cattleya, I'm leaving their names alone because they have no known official spellings. Quagbert 02:46, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for the correction. Sorry if I caused you any trouble. At least you didn't have a yandere fit like someone else?--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 03:01, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
What about Heath? His romanisation seems to be something longer. --Maxim 09:15, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Johto Prints

Where are the Johto gold and silver prints for the frontier brains? Serebii has them, so why don't we have them yet? Alexjuuhh 15:52, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

How do you "battle" the frontier brains? Do I have to do win a bunch of battles, or what? VictoryStar (talk) 01:58, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Win 21 battles in a row to battle a brain. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:01, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
The number of battles you need to win are listed on the Battle Frontier pages. --SnorlaxMonster 02:02, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Individual Frontier Brain page names

Why are the pages for each individual Frontier Brain (as well as Subway Bosses and Battle Chatelaines) named with the Trainer classes included before their names? This isn't done for other characters on the site (Gym Leaders, Elite Four, etc.), even the ones who have unique Trainer classes (Mystery Man Eusine, Galactic Boss Cyrus, Lorekeeper Zinnia, etc.) It's not very consistent with the rest of the site; not even for the sake of disambiguation, since we use "Aaron (Elite Four)" rather than "Elite Four Aaron". Hyper Turtwig (talk) 06:00, 3 August 2015 (UTC)

It looks like it started with Spenser (redux) and Lucy, and then a while later the rest were "standardized" with those. As I've argued with "Brendan (game)", I don't think that people like Palmer who don't need disambiguation should have it forced. Especially if Bulbapedia is happy with "non-standardized" groups like the Elite Four's Aaron (Elite Four) and Agatha (or almost any other Elite Four member). Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:43, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
Given that Anabel now appears without the "Salon Maiden" title in SM, it may be prudent to remove the titles from the Frontier Brains' names now. UB00 (talk) 02:47, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
