Technically, only one species of frog - the Pacific Tree Frog (indigenous to Hollywood, which spread the sound throughout the world via movies and television [hence why ribbit/geko/kero is commonly mistaken to be the sound of all frogs everywhere, and is the onomatopoeia associated with frogs in general]) make the ribbit/geko/kero sound. Frogs bark, bleat, scream, howl, growls, and squawk, or can be simply silent. Frogadier (and Froakie) appear to be based more on different frogs (i.e. not the Pacific Tree Frog), such as some species of poison dart frog, but I do see your points, and they are perfectly logical.--ShinyPatch (talk) 18:13, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Origin
