How to read マッシュルーム

Anyone know Japanese? マッシュルーム?--444Zekrom 10:49, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

From that, I get "mash form" The second part is definately form, but マッシュ masshu seems strange to be mash. --SnorlaxMonster 10:55, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

...hmmm... Google translate is horrible. I was trying to get button mushroom. Something -take, I presume?--444Zekrom 10:59, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Oh, wait. I read that last bit wrong. It just says mushroom. マッシュルーム musshuruumu. --SnorlaxMonster 11:13, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
MUSSHURUMU?!?! How 'bout button mushroom? Any possible -take transalation? Magetake?--444Zekrom 12:11, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Nope. That's a perfect transliteration of "mushroom", so it translates directly to mushroom (keep in mind this isn't always the case). No button. musshuruumu is the romanisation. --SnorlaxMonster 12:26, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Actually, perfect transliteration is Masshurūmu.--でんのう Zえんし 12:43, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
That is what it says, I meant masshuruumu, not musshuruumu. I either hit the wrong key or did what I usually do with マ and ム, mix them up. Also, I don't usually bother with the macron (because I don't know how to type it, but I know how to find out). --SnorlaxMonster 13:00, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Pokéball connection

Could it be possible that the Pokéball was created in Unova, and made to look like Foongus and Amoongus. Perhaps their physiology was used/studied for the technology to be developed? And before the Pokéball came to Johto, everyone used Apricorns. --sHoggard - rookie Pokéwiz 10:46, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

While that is an interesting theory, it is speculation, so will not be put into the article. Instead, you may wish to discuss this on the forums. --SnorlaxMonster 10:54, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
