:Morrison, Tyson and Ash all had three battles, however, only two were shown of each. This was, I'm guessing, due to the writers wanting to wrap up the league and start promoting the Lucario movie. I was confused about Ash's rank, as well, but that was stated in both the Japanese and English versions. I have no explanation for why that's so strange. --PAK Man Talk 14:49, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

:: I think one explanation is that instead of the normal; top 16 trainers its the top 32 trainers, since perhaps during the silver conference not that many trainers entered that conference. And it's entirely possible that a lot of trainers entered the Ever Grande Conference so they had to adjust it, of course it if it anywhere said top 16 for the victory tournament then nevermind. --Dman dustin 09:54, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
::: I just watched from Brags to Riches, and Nurse Joy said that the top 32 trainers would move on to the victory round. So mystery solved. --Dman dustin 10:13, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

This article contains many mistakes. Firstly, where from come title "Ever Grande Conference"? I just rewatched all episodes about it, and in them no such thing was mentioned. In them title is "Ever Grande Hoenn League Championship". And it is not held in Ever Grande City. It's held near it. And also it's not just Preliminaries rounds & Finals rounds. It's Preliminaries, Qualifying Rounds and Victory Tournament. And in Preliminaries rules is simple one on one battle, not a double battle. In Qualifying Rounds rules is 3 double battles. Also according to subs on US DVD, Dominic name is Dominick. BTW Dominick from Inua Town and Gavin from Danda Town. - unsigned comment from Burakki (talkcontribs)

I think Ever Grande Conference comes from the name Silver Conference. Since that took place at Mt. Silver, and it was officially named, I guess people assumed that this was the Ever Grande Conference. --PAK Man Talk 15:34, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
It didn't take much research to find out where the name came from. This article was first created when the episodes were airing in Japan, where the term "conference" is used. "Dominic" is the spelling used by Pokemon.com. --FabuVinny T-C-S 22:06, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Rules

There are somethings i don't understand about the tournament. It is mentioned the trainers take part in 3 double battles but Ash took part in only 2. And also Ash won against Katie and Morrison to reach the Top 8 position while in the Silver conference he only battled against Gary to reach the Top 8. Doesn't that mean there is an extra round in the Victory Tournament?--Jmath 14:05, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Morrison, Tyson and Ash all had three battles, however, only two were shown of each.
