Error reviews

Ok, I want to point out some things in the errors section, let's not change them until we have discussed this. Brock could have known that Gary has a Squirtle, we didn't see any of Gary's Pokémon when he was in the Indigo league, but Brock could have, if you look closely the part with Gary's battle was skipped.

There was at least one other match in between, and thus the earliest Ash and Harrison could have met would have been the semifinal round. Also, Harrison had one last battle, therefore this wasn't the last battle, it WAS the semi-final. TheBlazikenMaster 13:12, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I agree that Brock most likely knew because in EP063, when Gary shows his 10 badges, he is seen to have the Boulder Badge, which Brock used to hand out. It is known that Gary made it to Pewter before Ash did, so Brock would have been the one to give Gary the Badge. Now I don't know about you but I would think he would have used his Squirtle. ^Moldy_Orange 14:46, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

If it is reasonable to assume that Brock could know Gary's starter then it does not count as an error. As Gary got the Boulder Badge ahead of Ash, there is definately enough to make that assumption. --FabuVinny ^T-C-S 15:11, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

wrt the bracket comment by User:TheBlizikenMaster, I believed the original intent was that Ash bowed out in the final eight, and Harrison out in the semis (later episodes referred to it as such). The original bracket in EP268 showed a left-to-right shot of the bottom half of the bracket, with Harrison on one end, the Gary/Ash match on the other, and one match in between. Because of the bracket arrangement, this would have meant that the Harrison/Ash match was a semifinal match and not a quarterfinal match. However, the bracket can be seen as the error, as Harrison would lose his next match after beating Ash, yet Ash was watching the championship match, which did not involve Harrison. With that in mind, the dialogue, though correct overall, is only an error with respect to the erroneous bracket. KelvSYC 02:33, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Flail Error and other stuff

If Ho-oh a Pokemon introduced in the second gen was introduced in the first episode of Pokemon isn't it safe to say antything from the second gen would have been known at the time, and also just because Flail didn't exist at the time doesn't mean it didn't exist. Look at Mt. Everest, Mt. Everest was still the largest mountain in the world before it was discovered, the same thing applies in this case.

I also have a problem with the whole Pokeball half-story as an error, in the 1st episode was it mentioned that it was Ash's 10th birthday or was he simply 10 at the time, if so then it's entirely possible that when you turn 10 you could still be considered starting your journey. Also 3 other people got their Pokemon the same day as Ash's are we then to assume they had the same birthday as Ash, or is it that they turned 10 around the same relative time and Professor Oak just chose a day to hand out the starters to make it conveinent on him. --Dman dustin 06:09, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Also, why does it say Flail wasn't recognized as a move yet? According the move page it was introduced in Generation 2, which this episode falls under.
