I know the names haven't been officially announced, yet, and I'm not proposing to make any changes to it until they're totally confirmed - I'm just getting in here early.

The rumoured names for this line are "Oshawott, Dewott and Samurott." Should Dewott turn out to be its actual name, think I've just stumbled across the name origin...

Dew is obvious, and ott from otter is obvious - but on top of that, DeWitt is the name of the author of The Last Samurai. Just realised and thought it was really clever - should the leak prevail to be accurate (and judging by the following announcement of Braviary etc., it's looking likely), they've managed to squeeze three words into a six letter name - including a reference to its type, a reference to the animal it's based on, and a reference to being a samurai. Fantastic name. Constantmotion 22:33, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Wow, nice find. Definitely should be put in when the time comes. SidStarkiller 20:53, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

No, Wikia is not a source, not only because it is a fansite, it is a very low quality wiki. --rockersk08 19:53, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

I agree of how you found it,Constantmotion. Of course, since Futachimaru is the japanese name,Dewott will be the English name.I knew that its name was going to be Dewott, its just that I didn't know why they named it Dewott. Now I know! Dewott100 04:00, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

As I'm sure most are aware, The Battle Club and Tepig's Choice! had a Dewott in it. It confirmed the species name as the Disciplined Pokémon.--TrickyB 18:00, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
