Confirmed Gender

Seriously, even if it's gender was confirmed in the dub, why would it be different in the Japanese version?

The excuse is "Well the dub can screw up". Not a good excuse since everyone knows it's a girl anyway, but bleh. There are just some people you can't convince of Pikachu's masculinity. TTEchidna 02:00, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Well, we still haven't had firm Word-Of-God on Pikachu either way, have we? Buneary, OTOH, should be fairly undeniable at this point. - Cassius335 13:15, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey, umm guys, Didn't Dawn's bio on the Japanese 10th movie site confirm that her Buneary is a female? I mean, I thought they confirmed that when they were discussing the Poster.

don't trust the dub

The dub said Brock's mother died, and she came back in a Chronicles episode. They said that the Team Rocket duo in Legend of Thunder was male and female, while they were both male in the original.

Sure, the evidence does point to Buneary being female, but I'll wait for it to be confirmed in the Japanese version first.

Brock's mother: OK, that one's truly an error. Why does the dub refer to Flint's ***** as Brock's birth mother when Brock's real birth mother is supposed to be dead, and never even go as far as to provide an explaination?
Attila and Hun: And what evidence says the dub changed Hun's gender? People have searched the dub for the telltale sign, and there wasn't one. Nobody ever referred to Hun by specific gender, meaning it can't be proven that 4Kids actually changed Hun's gender. For all we know, Hun's still male in the dub, they just cast oddly.
As far as Buneary goes, while the Japanese version hasn't fully proven what the dub says, there's been nothing in the Japanese version outright disproving what the dub says. Sure, there's been mistakes in the dub before, but given that we haven't seen anything from Japan to contradict the dub, there's no reason to believe the dub is outright wrong. Saying not to trust the dub on anything is like saying not to trust Viz on their Pokémon Special translations and to use Chuang Yi for everything Viz put out. --Shiningpikablu252 17:58, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
4Kids vs PUSA. 4Kids may have gotten kickass voices, but donuts don't make themselves. TTEchidna 18:20, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Ok, it WAS confirmed in the Japanese version that Buneary was female. the official 10th movie website mentioned her Buneary as being female. Ask Serebiiforums if you don't believe me. Also, to Shiningpikablu252, they DID mention Hun was a guy (Kudo said "Those men" in regards to Atilla and Hun.). Weedle Mchairybug 12:27, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
How stupid is this debate? Buneary is a girl!!!!!!!Pikazilla 02:17, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Kenji-girl says that Buneary doesn't wear it enough. Read her talk page.--Tavisource 23:40, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
