Butlers?

I think Castle Butler Cochran and Cattleya would be a proper name, because while Cochran is clearly a Butler, it looks like Cattleya is Battle Castle's chatelaine. - Taylor 18:37, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I also think so. Only Kokuran is referred to by his title "Castle Butler", Cattleya seems to have no title at all. I think that we can split the two articles when we get more information on both and eliminate the problem. --Maxim 09:00, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Cattleya's clearly not a butler. Based on common sense and the fact that the castle has pictures of Cattleya, she's not a butler.tc26 09:18, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Dont split the articles~Ποκεμανιακα0β 15:51, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
The point is to change Butlers to Butler, not separation. tc26 15:54, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Cochran or Kokuran?

Don't move it back to "Cochran". Kokuran's name is derived from a JAPANESE word Kokuran, which is a type of orchid. If it's a Japanese word, it cannot be Engrishized as "Cochran". It's a rule. --Maxim 09:00, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

It's a rule? If their name can be a Western one, I don't see a problem doing it that way (especially since I doubt these guys are Japanese). I mean, we're still calling her "Kate".--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 16:58, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
They aren't Japanese. They are from Sakhalin, so they are Russian, heh heh. Well, Kate's "meaning" is too farfetched for me. Not to mention that her name is actually blatant American name. コクラン "Kokuran/Cochran/Cochrane/Coquelin" (those are possible spellings according to EDICT) is not, so I can see it being spelt "Kokuran" because of intended meaning. --Maxim 17:47, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, now that I think about it, if they're from the island bordering Japan and Russia and Japanese name isn't too far-fetched. ...whatever, I don't really care. I'll just say change it to a Western transliteration of "kokuran", though, if the English Platinum actually uses something that corresponds to "kokuran" (although I get the feeling the names will be changed to match the medals, like in Emerald).--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 20:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
From the Japanese show Pokémon, his name, written in kanji can only be Kokuran, if you want a real name, just wait till it comes out in America~Ποκεμανιακα0β 15:50, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Team Template Problem

I have a problem! Ya see, their Pokémon have two possible sets of moves. I put both sets in template but it made the template look ugly. How can it be fixed? --Maxim 18:31, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

If you know if the two movesets are exactly the same (i.e. Empoleon only has 2 movesets), then you can separate them into two. ht14 21:58, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Page title leading to misconception.

I just realized that the page title leads to too many misconceptions. The only person who has a title is the Castle Butler Kokuran, Cattleya is not involved in the battle (she's just seen in the sprite) and she does not have any title at all. She is also not a Butler/Maid. She seems to be some kind of princess to me. I would like to move this page back to Castle Butler Kokuran and Cattleya which should be understood as "Castle Butler Kokuran and Cattleya without a title". The other idea to get rid of problem is splitting the article. The problem is, that we don't have too much information about them, so Cattleya's article would probably be a stub. I'm screaming to the authorities - how to bear with the problem?! --Maxim 10:14, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

It should be moved back to Castle Butler Kokuran and Cattleya. Cattleya is in the sprite, and, as a figure of the Battle Castle, should remain in the article. However, it is clear she is not a Butler, and that Kokuran is. Therefore, it should be moved back to Castle Butler Kokuran and Cattleya, with a redirect from the Castle Butlers page. Of course, I'm not an authority on this, it just seems the general consensus, and it makes a lot more sense, especially since we're trying to clear up misconceptions rather than cause them. Satosuke 23:07, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
We'll go with whatever the best translation of the Japanese text gives us, unless there's some bizarre problem with plurals in Japanese that I'm not aware of. We can move it once the English release tells us what the names really are. --((Marton imos)) 23:30, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
If both of them were butlers, then this article would have to be called "Castle Butlers Kokuran and Cattleya." However, it's plain to see that only Kokuran is a butler. TorchicBlaziken (talk) 17:16, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

CoroCoro

The new CoroCoro brings some info on Kokuran and Cattleya (Right here). Can someone translate this? - Taylor 01:47, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Mistake

This isn't the only time since double battles were introduced that there are two people in the sprite: the male PokéFan is always accompanied by a small girl. Flicky1991 14:36, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Lady Caitlin?

Is there any reason the page is named Lady Caitlin? She's a "Lady" in Japanese too, but it wasn't the name of the page, and "Lady Cattleya" didn't show up on artwork and things.—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 06:34, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

the translation i was told was directly including the "Lady" part. -- MAGNEDETH 06:48, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
I personally think that "Lady" is not needed here. Anyway, the article should be split, IMO. Maybe not now. But when they appear in the anime and/or mangas, then the page should be split. --Maxim 16:26, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Justification? Liza and Tate aren't split. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 16:34, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
If we don't include the "Lady" in the internal title (i.e. the bit with the Japanese and bold letters), why is the page at Lady Caitlin? This probably should be moved. — THE TROM — 21:06, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Return

The first time I ever battled Caitlin, she defeated me with her Staraptor. Her Staraptor defeated ALL 3 of my Pokémon with Return. So why isn't this move on the list of Staraptor's moves? I don't think it has {{m|Roost)).--Tavisource 05:53, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Silver Print Team A

Is it just me or in Darach and Caitlin's Silver Print battle, if they have Team A, their Pokémon have the exact sme moves as the same species of Pokémon in the Open Level Battle Factory?

If that made no sense, I mean their Pokémon have the same moves as the Staraptor, Empoleon, and Houndoom in the Open Level Battle Factory.--PokeKid188 20:40, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

  • Palmer's Rhyperior also appears in the Battle Factory. --The Great Butler 02:25, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Not related directed to the above but also about the Silver Print Teams. I don't think that they are as set in stone as this page suggest. What I mean is, I just fought against him and he led with Team B's Empoleon and followed with Team A's Houndoom. It would seem he doesn't have Team A and Team B, but rather each of his Pokemon have two possible sets.Seriin 19:52, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Darach Ó Catháin

I think that Darach's and Caitlin's English names really came from Darach Ó Catháin, an Irish singer. His Darch's name just came strain from Darach and Caitlin which came from Catháin was just changed a little to make it a name plus a reference to her Japanese name.Fudgenuggets 06:21, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Glitch?

I did the battle castle double battle and for some reason I didn't fight Darach at the end of the third streak. I checked the record screen after the streak and it said current streak for double battle was 21. Maybe it was because I didn't do the streaks consecutively since I saved after the first streak and turned off the power, but I used the same pokemon when I started the second streak. Also I may have taught a TM move to a pokemon I was using in between the streaks. Is it possible that could have somehow reset the actually streak I was on without resetting it on the record thing? - unsigned comment from Jobriq (talkcontribs)

"I did the battle castle double battle" There's your problem. You can only fight Frontier Brains in the Single Battle mode. - Blazios talk 21:35, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Infobox inquiry

In the infobox Region line, wouldn't it be better to use the template:Sup/4 instead of asterisks(*) to indicate the game he in those regions? Like this --- SinnohPt/JohtoHGSS
