It can also have a throwback to the 8th movie if Riolu belongs to Dawn. Why should it be Ash's?Why shouldn't it be Dawn's or even Paul's(:P)?It would be Dawn's.It is to replace buizel as a battle Pokémon for the second round while Gliscor(Probably) is to replace Ambipom as an old Pokémon's evolve form for Ash to train!-[[User:Billy4b2004|Billy4b2004]] 09:30, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Anyway, it is really impossible for Ash to transfer Gligar to Oak's Lab. for the Hippopotas or a Hippowdon in this episode!-[[User:Billy4b2004|Billy4b2004]] 09:33, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Hippopotas

Do you think the Hippopotas from DP044 will make an apperence. -Dean

Maybe this is the episode where Ash ends up catching it.-Pokemon Master

Maybe this is the episode where Dawn release her Pachirisu for that Hippowdon.(Joking only:P)

I guess Ash will catch a Rhyperior in later episode instead of that Hippopotas. It will be Ash's first rock type and it is better to have a rock-ground type instead of a pure ground type.I don't think a Hippopotas/Hippowdon will help him much in his League battles like Rhyperior will do.Being one of Ash's Pokémon will be the best place for Rhyperior because it is one of the strongest rock-type Pokémon.-Billy4b2004 02:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't think so, he would catch it as a Rhyhorn first and raise it.Pokemon Master

I'm mainly surprised that we are getting Hippowdon's episode this side of Veilstone given the location of Hippopotas in the games. --FabuVinny T-C-S 15:29, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

And I doubt he would catch a gen 1 pokemon in sinnoh.45px 45pxKPF30px 30px 17:39, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Well why would Ash have bothered catching Aipom if it was in the Battle Frontier plus I wouldn't know why he would catch a Rhyperior since you have to trade a RHYDON with a PROTECTOR and simply can't catch one straight in the wild. Also he could still catch Rhyhorn and evolve it in Rhyperior because thats what happened with Aipom anyway.

Well, Misty's Poliwhirl evolved into Politoed without being traded. If Ash would catch the Hippopotas, it would have no performance at all in the Sinnoh League like Phanpy in the Silver Conference, easily knocked out by a Quilava.I hate that to happen again, it almost caused Ash to lose!I highly doubt that it would evolve. It is better for it to evolve first, before it can participate in any League battles, like Donphan in the Battle Frontier.-Billy4b2004 03:12, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I didn't say Hippopotas I said Rhyhorn plus Phanpy was a Baby Pokemon too and had only been recently hatched from an egg so yeah and also it hatch a bit before the Pokemon league and if Ash were to catch Hippopotas it would be bfore the third gym!.Pokemon Master

But for Rhyperior, it is different, it can still contribute much to Ash even if it is still a Rhyhorn!Gary has a Electivire while Paul will probably have a Electivire, Magmortar and a Honchkrow in the future and now a Weavile, it is better for Ash to have a Rhyperior!-Billy4b2004 03:23, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I never said Hippopotas would evolve plus Ash could end up getting Magmortar anyway, I'm not saying its bad for him to get Rhyperior but I just don't see him getting one, if he was going to get a fully evolved Pokemon either his Turtwig, Chimchar or Stararvia would evolve first. Hippopotas probably won't evlove but still we dont even know if he'll get one!Pokemon Master

Of course Staravia would evolve, the question is only when to evolve.Magmortar would be Paul's and Chimchar would defeat Magmortar in the Sinnoh League as a Infernape to take revenge on him and it would make him going mad!Perhaps he would release Magmortar immediately and set off his journey to find and capture Heatran! That would be really interesting!-Billy4b2004 03:39, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

But I'm saying his rivals could have Electivire while he has a Magmortar, so he would just have to catch a Magmar see if he would have Rhyperior the creators of the show would make him catch it as Rhyhorn and slowly evolve into Rhydon then maybe Rhyperior unless they do with Rhyhorn what they did with Snorunt how it evolved really quickly but is used often. I dont think a rival would catch a legendary anyway.Pokemon Master

Of course, it is just for funny.Anyway, Paul would never succeed.Ash would never have a Magmortar. If this happen, Chimchar would probably run away or even attempt suicide!-Billy4b2004 03:54, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Dude no man, you took too far man I mean you just went passed the line, now don't start saying your mum says your kool. Pokemon Master 12:59, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Now let's come back a little bit.Paul is a extremely strong rival, even stronger than Gary.Ash would need a strong team in order to defeat Paul.I don't think he can defeat him with basic Pokémon like Chimchar, Turtwig and Hippopotas.I think he would need to have Infernape, Floatzel, Staraptor, Torterra(or at least Grotle), Pikachu and a unknown Pokémon that is also strong enough.I think Rhyperior is a great choice for that. And I don't think Lucario that is hoped by many is a good choice because I don't think Ash would capture a legendary-like Pokémon.I don't think he would be brave enough to do so.Hippopotas won't be good if it doesn't evolve like Phanpy did and obviously it wouldn't evolve. So do you have any suggestions apart from Rhyperior?-Billy4b2004 04:12, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Thats sort of what I've been trying to say like he's Pokemon except Pikachu evolve to there final stages but also he could get Dusclops's evolution Dusknoir counting as the first ghost Pokemon that he didn't befriend since it makes sense with Haunter since there prevolved forms need to be traded to evolve.Pokemon Master 13:15, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Dusknoir would be good also.Anyway, those are the evolve form of the previous Gen Pokémon would be the best choice since they are strong and it is better for Ash to train both Sinnoh Pokémon and the evolve form of the previous Gen Pokémon.Ash really need a strong team to defeat Paul and win the Sinnoh League in order to prove the thing that is mentioned by Lucian in An Elite Meet and Greet!

Actually, both Rhydon and Dusclops don't need to be traded to evolve in the anime, only to get the item like Misty's Poliwhirl.-Billy4b2004 04:24, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah I guess so I mean I have both of them Lvl 100 and they are very good Pokemon, so I don't see why not, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see now.Pokemon Master 20:46, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Agree!-Billy4b2004 02:36, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

...wait, so you guys honestly think Ash will catch a first generation Pokémon...in Sinnoh!? 45px 45pxKPF30px 30px 02:03, 15 January 2008 (UTC) ...by the way, thats insane...

Well, I don't think May caught a Bulbasaur (Gen I) and a Munchlax (Gen IV) in Hoenn is insane.Brock and James also got Gen IV Pokémon in Kanto!-Billy4b2004 09:24, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah exactly and Ash caught an Aipom (Gen 2)!.Pokemon Master

that was during Battle Frontier though, the same rules dont seem to apply in the ones in-between the main sieries...45px 45pxKPF30px 30px 23:46, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

But you can not ignore the fact that May's Bulbasaur and Munchlax are caught in Hoenn, the main series!-Billy4b2004 09:15, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Exactly! and anyway we finished this discussion a long time ago, just because your a crap trainer Kpokefan and haven't heard what a good Pokémon is, doesn't mean you should down other peoples hopes!.Pokemon Master

I think the last episode just proved and disproved the "Ash can't get Rhyhorn" theory. He caught another Gen II Pokémon that has a Gen IV evolution but he already has six Pokémon now. --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:23, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
He could still give one of them to Professor Oak but I don't see it happening. File:Ani448MS.gifJmathFile:Ani447MS.gifTalkFile:Ani448MS.gif 19:03, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
He's going to have to make a transfer to Prof. Oak's sooner or later to make room for an eventual Riolu egg. Odds are it'll be this Gligar, since Ash doesn't have a real need for a Ground-type in his current team--trust me, he'll pull it out against Volkner without one. --Shiningpikablu252 21:21, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
But what's so special about Riolu that he has to give up his current team for one? There was never anything to suggest Ash would get Riolu besides it being a nice throwback to movie 8. --FabuVinny T-C-S 23:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
