Sex

Is Citron definitely male? I can't find any gendered words on the scan for Zakuro or Citron.—urutapu (talk) 03:08, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Sister

Clemont has a sister named Bonnie. If I can recall correctly, he was in one of the screenshots for his character. - unsigned comment from Poko907 (talkcontribs)

Already mentioned in the infobox. No need to mention it in the article, as it isn't of that much importance and we know nothing about her. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 21:08, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
Shouldn't she have her own article created now that it's been confirmed she'll be one of Ash's traveling companions along with her brother? Myzou (talk) 00:47, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
She does have a page. Unless you mean an anime page, then no. It's too early for one. Ataro (talk) 00:52, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
How... weird. It doesn't show up when I search for it. O_o At any rate, shouldn't it be linked to on this page, by making the link that says Bonnie actually link to her page? Myzou (talk) 02:47, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

clementine = clemont?

could his name also be a male play on the name clementine, which is also the name of a variety of orange? Yamitora1 (talk) 00:53, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Korean name for Clemont

His Korean name is 시트론 Shiteuron.

  • Transliteration of Japanese name. -- Nick15 (talk) 19:43, 20 July 2013 (UTC)

General Japanese name observation

It is also of note that Citroën is a brand of automobiles in France. Given Clemont's mechanized motif, I suspect there may be a connection. Read into this what you want.... -- Nick15 (talk) 19:47, 20 July 2013 (UTC)

fruit

Why do we think all the gym leaders are named after fruit all of a sudden? 0danmaster0 (talk) 08:34, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

They aren't. They're named after plants. And look at Alexa and Viola's names. They happen to keep the theme naming Pokemon characters have in the Japanese version. Grant also happens to be in the word pomegranate. It's fairly obvious that they're trying to keep the plant theme naming the Japanese versions use while also keeping the type pun. So, yes, it does come from lemon. But that's all we can put until we know his type; same with Grant. It's obvious he'll be an Electric-type Gym Leader and thus his name will either come from lemon battery or inclement weather. Ataro (talk) 08:48, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
lemons and pomegranates aren't plants though, they're fruit 0danmaster0 (talk) 12:25, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Irrelevant. My point still stands. Ataro (talk) 12:42, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
"They aren't [named after fruit]. They're named after plants". Fruit are not plants and therefore the gym leaders don't have a plant naming theme. 0danmaster0 (talk) 13:34, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Vegetation? I don't know the proper term for this. There's a plant, fruit, vegetable, whatever theme. End of story. Now can we please end this discussion. Ataro (talk) 13:52, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Electric Type

Isn't obvious that Clemont is an electric type gym leader?, why don't you put that down then? Ziggyangelo88 (talk) 06:02, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

Speculation. It'll be added when it's confirmed. (And no, it isn't obvious. He might just as easily be a Steel-type leader. All we know about him is his gadgetry.) Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 06:03, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

Why are you being so rude in response to my comments. Theyre perfectly valid. why else would the blotch of color behind him be yellow in the official site. We know that the color of the blotch corresponds to the type, because viola uses bug type and she has a green blotch behind her. Ziggyangelo88 (talk) 08:29, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

We can't assume things like that. It is likely that the color means he is Electric, but until we have confirmation that's the case, it should not be added to the article. --SnorlaxMonster 08:29, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

thanks for not being rude like Pumpkinking0192 was. --Ziggyangelo88 (talk) 14:55, 11 August 2013 (UTC)

Pumkinking0192 seems to be more blunt than rude, so there is no need to get emotional...anywho, as SnorlaxMonster said, we can't assume that just yet, you may think Electric but it could be Steel like Pumkinking0192 said, for all we know they could throw a lot of curve balls at us. It isn't that obvious yet. ----NateVirus(Talk|Contributions) 20:14, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Electric Type Leader

I know we're waiting for official confirmation, but here are the things that point to Clemont being an Electric type leader: His official profile background is yellow, his badge looks like a device of some sort, his gym looks like it has a tech motif, he's an inventor, and his hair has a lightning bolt shaped cowlick. The name also has lemon in it, which could refer to a device that does not work correctly, which is something inventors would often face in their prototype phases. For reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemon_(automobile) CoolDudeAl (talk) 01:04, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

He could also easily be a Steel-type Gym Leader with the evidence you've provided, although the fact he is seen using Dedenne in the anime is making me think otherwise. --The Truth aka Relicant 10:15, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
Now we know that he will also use Bunnelby, so I don't know what to expect now (Well, Eureka said keepu keepu in the trailer to Dedenne, so maybe it will be caught?)--Omojuzeforever (talk) 13:58, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Pokemon Team

It Dedenne, he is seen using in a battle against Ash's Pikachu - unsigned comment from Conrado (talkcontribs)

New talk sections go at the bottom of the page, not the top. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:02, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

Lumiose

In the anime it is revealed that he's the Lumiose Gym leader (The All Mighty Serebii xD), can someone add it?--Omojuzeforever (talk) 10:59, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

they also revealed him to be a elecric type gym leader should I add it?

hmm I have no permission to chage the page he is clearly a boy and a electric type gym leader of Lumiose City this was an official source so I assumed it was alright to change the page - unsigned comment from Antonioleyba (talkcontribs)

  • Might need a link to see that. Either way, the admins will probably get to adding it to the page, if not someone will add it later when there is even more stuff that can be added I guess. IDK. ----NateVirus(Talk|Contributions) 20:58, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

Clarify

Has he already appeared in the series, Pokemon Black & White anime, or was it another blonde character? Or was it another blonde brother and sister? - unsigned comment from Mantyke17 (talkcontribs)

He has not yet appeared. He will debut at some point in the XY series. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 04:20, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Eye color

The character infobox says "Gray/Blue*" on the eye color section, but how is it known that his eyes are gray in the games if they can't be seen? --Gabo 2oo (talk) 20:12, 26 January 2014 (UTC)

Concept art shows him without his glasses. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 21:41, 26 January 2014 (UTC)

His Gadgets

Does anyone else notice that the hovering gadgets attached via a cable to his backpack look extremely similar to those that Lysandre used during you last fight with him after you caught Xerneas/Yveltal...? I'm pretty sure that Clemont invents all his tools, so did Lysandre rip off his design, or did Clemont sell out to Kysandre's company? --Ulithium Dragon (talk) 14:51, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Clemont's Inventions

Do we need a page for Clemont's inventions? I mean, he's made so many, It should have a page by now. Reshiram zekrom (talk) 16:10, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
