:Ok that is wrong in so many ways Ash's Charizard has to be a male otherwise Charla would never have fallen for him, She wears a bow and even has a ladies name in both the original and the dub, could there be any more evidence short of them telling you themselves. You would not see a male charizard going around with a bow on it's head and since she has fallen for Ash's Charizard I think it is a male unless Charla is a lesbein and I don't think they allow that kind of thing on pokemon. ::Even though it's small, having an icon specially made for Charla featuring the bow would be better, since that's the main feature which distinguishes her from all the other Charizard in the anime. :::No, this has nothing to do with consistency or "fairness". Charla's bow isn't significant in any way, other than letting her trainer know immediately which Charizard is hers in the many that are at the island. The other two get their own sprites because they actually have a condition making them how they are. Adding a bow to Charla would be like giving Ash's Sceptile its twig, Jigglypuff a microphone, or Madame Muchmoney's Granbull its bows. ::::Um, you kinda contradicted yourself in that statement. How is letting her trainer know who she is among many others ''not'' significant? And I don't see why we can't have custom sprites for Sceptile, Jigglypuff, or Granbull, because they are the major defining physical traits of those particular Pokémon, regardless of their individual significance.
::::Again, this isn't a big deal, it's something I had in mind, because Charla isn't some random unknown Trainer's Charizard; she's Liza's Charizard and the girlfriend of Ash's own Charizard, and she always wears the bow. :::::That's not contradictory, nor especially significant. Many trainers use accessories to tell which Pokémon belongs to them. Like I already said though, the reason Butterfree and Onix get sprites is because they're actually ''different'' than an average member of their species, physically speaking. Throwing a bow, or scarf, or sunglasses on only shows the personality or the Pokémon or their trainer, not a physical condition/trait that absolutely defines them from everything else. I call for an analysis of the original Japanese version of the episode in question. I definitely recall Liza saying she raised Charla from a Charmander in the dub. However, an analysis of the original Japanese episode will tell us if that implication is in fact canon, or dub-added. --Shiningpikablu252 02:50, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
