Smogon says it doubles the power of an electric attack used the following turn. --Raijinili 03:55, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

So you're saying that Thunder (with STAB) can do up to 360 damage? ht14 17:16, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
120 (power) + 120 (from charge) + 120 (STAB) = 360, yeah. Although that would depend when or if multiplication is used; otherwise it could be 480... — THE TROM — 04:18, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
Order of operations
I'm guessing that when opponent uses Fly or Bounce, then it increases to 720 then? ht14 20:11, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
I would assume so, but it's tough to test; you'd need to use a low-level Pokémon against a higher-level one with Bounce/Fly, so the Bounce/Fly Pokémon doesn't instantly die when you hit. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 08:44, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Accumulation?

Are we sure it can't accumulate? i.e. use charge, then another to increase the multiplier to 4? - unsigned comment from Sk8torchic (talkcontribs)

Misdreavus

Didn't Katie's Misdreavus use charge in AG128. Turtwig A Contributions Talk 13:45, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Same name as a French move

Such as seen in trivias of Glare and Leer, Charge is the French name of Tackle. Could it be add to this page and Tackle page trivia, or it doesn't worth it? FrozenSolid.indah.Ice~♦ 01:41, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Conserved?

Is Charge's Sp. Def boost conserved after an Electric attack follows or is it lost like Stockpile's is when Spit Up or Swallow are used? Lucadan (Talk) 02:59, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

 • The description doesn't say that it's lost, but it also doesn't say that the Electric-type move has to be the very next turn, either. Has anyone tested it already? I guess someone could use charge seven times, and see if the seventh raised the sp. Def again. If it did, then the answer would be no. Can anyone test this, please? Wild Zapdos' Charge eventually stops raising Sp. Def. --PLA 12:38, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Interruption?

What happens to Charge's damage boost when its user doesn't immediately use an Electric move? For example:

 1. Use Charge
 2. Use an item
 3. Use Thundershock

Will Thundershock still be twice as strong?

And what if a move is selected, but doesn't execute while frozen, asleep, infatuated, etc.? Is the damage boost lost?
