Origin
While buffalo is right, its appearance is more closer to that of the American Bison, sometimes also called the American Buffalo. Rai Marshall 06:02, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
I think that there is a cultural sign in the Horn.

Origin?
Ya know I normally hate coming up with stuff like this but..................................... 
here is Lambo from popular Anime Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Note the cow suit and the afro that is far too large for a 5 year to even posses (I think), a Cow Pokemon with an Afro...doesnt that seem a little too suspicious? note that Lambo also uses a cow in battle (don't ask) would it be possible to note a resemblance to him? This is really embarassing...but I did find it interesting
