Someone want to help me flesh this out, maybe using info from my other bio's scattered around, etc? I figure that you all probably know me as well as I know myself, and are less inclined (well, most of you) to be biased about certain issues.--Archaic 11:30, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Page migration

I don't see why this page should exist here. Archaic is not an employee, affiliate, or honorary fanmember of Game Freak, the Pokémon company, or Nintendo, so why should he have a page in the mainspace? I understand that he is the owner of Bulbagarden, but wouldn't his userspace be more suited for something like this? He retains the power for unlimited userspace editing, and it might show an example in the User namespace for others, so I don't see why a page migration shouldn't be executed. Archaic's actually a leading figure in the fandom. Perhaps not as much these days as he was back in the heyday of Pokémon, but his contributions to the general Pokémon community (in particular, the shipping community) are as noted as those of Joe Merrick, Dogasu, and other key players. —darklordtrom 04:58, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
To flesh out what Trom said, Bulbapedia covers all forms of Pokemon information, including the fandom. Archaic is a huge figure of the fandom (similarly to the people mentioned by Trom). Regardless of all that, I don't see why we can't have a page highlighting the founder of our site. -- MAGNEDETH 05:12, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

Page Rename

I propose that this page be moved to Liam Pomfret, to add a more professional feel to the page. Not only does it give a proper outlook to the contents before they're traversed by the readers, but it follows suit with Joe Merrick's page by using first-last western-ordered names. If there's enough people in agreeance with this, maybe similar could be worked on Dogasu's page, unless of course his full name isn't unrevealed (which I unexplainably doubt). I disagree. Fandom members should go by the name they are known by the fandom. To put it into perspective, the article is titled as the subject's most common official name. So we don't have the pages at Professor Aurea Juniper and Professor Samuel Oak because they are not usually referred to in this way. You could argue that IRL Archaic usually gets called "Liam Pomfret", but that is not relevant to this context. The fandom knows him as Archaic, so that should be the article title. Also, Dogasu doesn't even have a page (anymore). --SnorlaxMonster 14:52, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

What's professional about having pages for users anyway? There's nothing, unless they've contributed officially to the franchise like what happened on I'm quite shocked that this is even allowed. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 00:41, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
