Just thought I should run this by you people before actually changing anything (seeing as I signed up for the sole purpose of pointing this out), but I believe that Aipom is based off the mythic creature Ahuizotl. It says so here: [http://www.fieldmuseum.org/mythiccreatures/water_taming_3.asp]
