Tail Whip (Japanese: しっぽをふる Tail Wag) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generation I

Tail Whip decreases the target's Defense stat by one stage.

Generations III and IV

Tail Whip hits both opponents in a Double Battle.

Generations V and VI

In a Triple Battle, Tail Whip will only hit opposing adjacent Pokémon.

Generation VII

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Tail Whip, the user's Attack raises one stage.
