Tackle (Japanese: たいあたり Body Blow) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Tackle deals damage and has no secondary effect.
In the anime
Tackle may not be counted as a move one has to learn, because a lot of Pokémon who aren't able to learn Tackle in the games, can use it in the anime (such as Pikachu in the Kanto series). Tackle may just be an extra command a trainer can give their Pokémon to cause extra damage to the opponent.
