Swoobat (Japanese: ココロモリ Kokoromori) is a dual-type Psychic/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from Woobat when leveled up with high friendship.
Biology
Physiology
Swoobat is a primarily cobalt (teal in the anime), batlike Pokémon. Its pointed ears, with lighter-colored insides, are attached and thus resemble the triangular shape of a metronome. The large pink snouts of Swoobat sport a single, heart-shaped nostril, and the mouth is wide and toothed. A mane of white fur covers its neck and body. Its black, batlike wings have 'thumbs', and its lower limbs are also black-colored. The lowermost segment of its body is blue, and its bare, pink, ratlike tail has prongs at the tip that may be described to form a heart shape. It also has three-toed feet extending from the underneath its mane.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
It can shoot ultrasonic sound waves from its nostrils. It can also release waves powerful enough to destroy boulders. During courtship, a male Swoobat uses these sound waves on itself, which pleases it and makes it happy. Anyone caught in these waves emitted by a courting male will experience a positive mood shift. It can use its forked tail to grasp and hang upside down from tree branches in order to sleep.
Behavior
Swoobat enjoy showering each other with their ultrasonic waves.
Habitat
They live in dark caves along with many other Swoobat.

Major appearances
A group of Swoobat debuted in Emolga the Irresistible!. They were angry with Emolga for disturbing their peace and chased her, Iris, and Axew down. However, Ash's Pikachu and Emolga were able to take them down.
Skyla's Swoobat appeared in Cilan Takes Flight! where it battled Cilan's Pansage and won with ease. However, it was defeated by Cilan's Crustle right afterwards. It reappeared in An Amazing Aerial Battle! where it was used in a battle against Ash. It easily defeated his Krokorok but lost to his Tranquill.
Minor appearances
A Swoobat appeared in The Four Seasons of Sawsbuck! under the ownership of Robert.

Trivia
- Swoobat's evolutionary line has several similarities with Crobat's. Both of them are based on bats and reach their respective final evolutionary form by friendship.
Origin
Swoobat appears to based on a Flying Fox and a Heart-nosed Bat.
Name origin
Swoobat may be a combination of swoon (to be overcome by infatuation) and bat. The addition of s to it may similarly emulate the addition of ko to Koromori.
Kokoromori may be a combination of 心 kokoro (heart) and コウモリ kōmori (bat).
