Switcheroo (Japanese: すりかえ Secret Switch) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

Generation IV

The user switches held items with the target. Fails if neither has a held item, if either Pokémon is holding Griseous Orb or Mail, if the target has a Substitute, or if either Pokémon has Sticky Hold. It also fails if either Pokémon has Multitype and either is holding a plate.

Generation V

Trick will now succeed with a Griseous Orb as long as neither the user nor the target is Giratina.
