Supersonic (Japanese: ちょうおんぱ Ultrasound) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Supersonic causes the target to become confused. Supersonic fails if the target is already confused or has Own Tempo.

Supersonic is a sound-based move.

Generation I to V

Supersonic cannot affect a Pokémon behind a substitute.

Generation VI onwards

Supersonic can now hit Pokémon even if they are behind a substitute.

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Supersonic, the user's Speed rises one stage. Throat Chop cannot prevent a Pokémon from using Z-Supersonic.
