Supersonic (Japanese: ちょうおんぱ Ultrasound) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generations I to V

Supersonic causes the target to become confused. Supersonic will fail if the target has a substitute, is already confused or has the Ability Soundproof or Own Tempo.

Generation VI onwards

Supersonic will now hit opponents behind a substitute.

If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Supersonic, the user's Speed rises one stage.

In Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team, Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky,, Supersonic is a move with 10PP and 100% accuracy. The user target enemy in the front, cutting corners, confusing them. This move is affected by Magic Coat, Taunt and Muzzled status condition. Being a sound-based move, it is blocked by Soundproof.

Description
