The Sunflora Festival (Japanese: キマワリコンテスト Kimawari Contest) is an annual festival and competition held in Bloomingvale. It was featured in the anime in Grin to Win!.
Competition
The Sunflora Festival contest is a beauty pageant for Sunflora, and the healthiest and happiest Sunflora—as determined by three judges—wins their Trainer a trophy and a year's supply of instant noodles.
The people of Bloomingvale seem to find winning quite important, and have been known to use different methods—some enigmatic, such as taking one's Sunflora to a tanning salon or hiring a comedian—to enhance his or her Sunflora's smile.
Sonrisa and her neighbor Cyrus entered the competition with Sunny and Dorabelle, respectively. Team Rocket also took part in the competition, with Meowth disguised as a Sunflora.
