The Style menu in Pokémon GO

Style is a feature in Pokémon GO which allows the player to set their gender and customize their appearance. The player character can be chosen and customized at the beginning of the game, but can also be customized at any time from the profile screen (starting from version 0.31.0).

Trainer appearance

The gender and physical appearance of the player can be changed in the style menu. Options for skin, hair, and eye color are the same for both genders. The list currently details options available since the launch of Trainer customization. Additional options for skin and hair color have been available since December 13, 2018.

Clothing

A variety of clothing options are available for the player. Some clothing items are free, while others require the player to purchase them with PokéCoins, or after completing a specific unlock requirement. Clothing options are different for male and female players, though some clothes are available for both genders.

Tops and bottoms are the only clothing items which must be worn by the player. All other items can be chosen to be removed.
