Storm Drain (Japanese: よびみず Pump Priming) is an ability introduced in Generation IV. Seven Pokémon have this Ability, four of which are Template:Type2 and the remaining being Template:Type2.
Effect
In battle
Generation IV
Storm Drain is only effective in double battles, and a Pokémon with this Ability will force all single-target Template:Type2 attacks used by other Pokémon to exclusively strike it, including those used by allies. Water-type moves will hit the Storm Drain user with 100% accuracy whether they are aimed at a Storm Drain user or not. Storm Drain cannot redirect Surf, as it targets all Pokémon. Storm Drain cannot redirect a Water-type Hidden Power.
If Follow Me is used while a Water-type move is being used, and a Pokémon with Storm Drain is active, the Pokémon using Follow Me is hit instead.
Generation V
Along with its previous effects, Storm Drain also gives Pokémon immunity to all Water-type attacks and raises the Pokémon's Special Attack whenever they are hit by one (even in normal battles).
Storm Drain does not draw in Soak in a double battle.
Outside of battle
Storm Drain has no effect outside of battle.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
In Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, a Pokémon with Storm Drain draws in all enemy Water-type attacks on the floor, and their damage/effect is completely neutralized.

Trivia
- Unlike with Lightningrod, no types are immune to Water, therefore, in Generation IV, the four Pokémon with this Ability took half or full damage from Water attacks, rendering it less useful in general than a Template:Type2 with Lightningrod.
