The Storage Key (Japanese: そうこのカギ Storage Key) is a Key Item introduced in Generation III. There are three different Basement Keys in the games, one used in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, another in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, and a similar but different Storage Key in the Hoenn game remakes, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

The Storage Key allows the player to open the storage room on the Abandoned Ship, allowing them to pick up a TM13 (Ice Beam).
The Storage Key allows the player to open the door inside Team Galactic's Warehouse.
In Pokémon Platinum, Looker takes and uses the key in a cutscene instead.
The Storage Key allows the player to open the storage hold on the outside of Sea Mauville.
