Steven (Japanese: サイガ Saiga) is a character of the day of the anime who appeared in the episode Whichever Way the Wind Blows. He is voiced by 鈴村健一 Ken'ichi Suzumura in Japanese and Dan Green in the English dub.

He was a scientist who explained to Ash, Misty and Brock the evolution process of Gloom into Bellossom or Vileplume.
