Status condition healing item: Difference between revisions

A status ailment healing item is a type of item from the Pokémon games. They can be used during or out of battle to heal a Pokémon's status ailment. They can often be found on the ground, whether readily visible or hidden from sight and requiring an Itemfinder to locate, and can be bought at nearly every Poké Mart.

Types of status ailment healing item

Used to heal poisoning. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif100 in Poké Marts.

File:ParlyzHealSprite.png Parlyz Heal

Used to heal paralysis. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif200 in Poké Marts.

File:AwakeningSprite.png Awakening

Used to wake a Pokémon up. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif250 in Poké Marts.

This item is no longer useful after obtaining a Poké Flute or Blue Flute, since these can be used to awaken sleeping Pokémon as well.

File:BurnHealSprite.png Burn Heal

Used to heal a burn. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif250 in Poké Marts.

File:IceHealSprite.png Ice Heal

Used to defrost a frozen Pokémon. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif250 in Poké Marts.

File:FullHealSprite.png Full Heal

Used to heal poisoning, paralysis, sleep, burn, or freeze. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif600 in Poké Marts.

File:FullRestoreSprite.png Full Restore

This item doubles as both a Full Heal and a Max Potion. Costs File:Pokébuck sign.gif3000 in Poké Marts. Heals poisoning, paralysis, sleep, burn, or freeze, and restores HP to full.

File:LavaCookieSprite.png Lava Cookie

Acts as a Full Heal. This item costs only File:Pokébuck sign.gif200, but unlike Full Heal, it can only be bought from an old lady on Mt. Chimney after Team Aqua or Team Magma has been stopped from reactivating the volcano, or in Two Island after defeating the Kanto Elite Four. In Generation IV, this item can only be obtained once from the lady who lost her Suite Key at Valor Lakefront.

Old Gateau

Acts as a Full Heal. Unpurchaseable. Found in Old Chateau. In Game (Pearl) Description: Old Chateau's Hidden Speciality. It heals all the status problems of a single Pokémon.

In the Pokémon Special manga

In The Secret of Kangaskhan we can see the first appearance of an antidote in the manga, Red uses one to heal a baby Kangaskhan.
