The SquirtBottle (Japanese: ゼニガメじょうろ Zenigame Watering Can) is a Key Item introduced in Generation II. It is a watering can fashioned after a Squirtle.

Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal
Allows the player to pass Sudowoodo on Route 36, prompting a battle with the wild Pokémon. After completing the battle, Sudowoodo will no longer block the path to Ecruteak City.

Performs the same function it did in the original games, allowing the player to battle Sudowoodo. In addition, the SquirtBottle is used when watering the Berry Pots.

In the anime
James used a SquirtBottle on a wild Sudowoodo in Type Casting. Another SquirtBottle appeared in Johto Photo Finish where Mimey was watering the plants in the Ketchum residence. A SquirtBottle belonging to Miranda appeared in The Princess and the Togepi, and was used to water her garden. Professor Oak used a SquirtBottle in I Choose You!, watering a Bellsprout and an Oddish with it. Unlike its in-game sprites, SquirtBottles have legs in the anime.
In the manga
In the Pokémon Gold and Silver: The Golden Boys manga
Whitney's Cleffa used a SquirtBottle on a Sudowoodo in A Huge Mysterious Tree!!.
Trivia
- Despite not making an appearance in the core series since Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, in Pokémon X and Y the SquirtBottle's English name was reformatted to Squirt Bottle in its internal data, and has remained that way ever since.
