The Sport Ball (Japanese: コンペボール Compé Ball) is a type of Poké Ball introduced in Generation II. It can be used to capture wild Pokémon during a Bug-Catching Contest.

Prior to Generation IV, this Poké Ball was called the Park Ball (Japanese: パークボール Park Ball).

Price

The Sport Ball cannot be legitimately bought or sold.

Effect

When used in a wild encounter during a Bug-Catching Contest, it will attempt to capture the wild Pokémon with a 1.5× catch rate modifier.

Acquisition

Twenty Sport Balls are given to players exclusively for the Bug-Catching Contest. Any unused Sport Balls are returned at the end of the competition.
