Sophia

Sophia (Japanese: ソフィア Sophia) is a character of the day who appears in Moving Pictures. She is voiced by Kayzie Rogers in English and 荘司美代子 Miyoko Shoji in Japanese.

She and lives with her husband, Marcello, at the Sunflora Lodge, which they both run. She likes to tell romantic stories about herself that aren't necessarily true. Sophia and Marcello have been married for fifty years, and they take an anniversary picture on the south slope 50 years ago with hundreds of Sunflora. On the 50th anniversary, they went to the Sunflora Lodge like they did 50 years ago. They thought that the Sunflora were cheering for their marriage. They could no longer find them, and what they found was only a Sunkern. They miss the Sunflora very much because they're a part of their sweet memory. Seeing this, Brock suggested Ash to evolve the Sunkern with the Sun Stone he won as a prize in the Bug-Catching Contest. After doing so, the newly evolved Sunflora sang a song and attracted all the Sunflora from the past 50 years back. The couple were very pleased and express their thank to Ash.
