Sophia (Japanese: ソフィア Sophia) is a character of the day who appears in Moving Pictures. She is voiced by Kayzie Rogers in English and 荘司美代子 Miyoko Shoji in Japanese.

She and lives with her husband, Marcello, at the Sunflora Lodge, which they both run. She likes to tell romantic stories about herself that aren't necessarily true. Sophia and Marcello have been married for fifty years, and they have taken an anniversary picture on the south slope for each of the fifty years with hundreds of Sunflora. On their fiftieth anniversary, all they could find was a Sunkern. The Sunflora no longer came due to the colder climate caused by an Articuno living nearby. Seeing this, Brock suggested to Ash that he should evolve the Sunkern with the Sun Stone he won as a prize in the Bug-Catching Contest. After doing so, the newly evolved Sunflora sang a song that attracted hundreds of Sunflora. The couple was very pleased and expressed their thanks to Ash and company.
