Sonny (Japanese: ソノタ Sonota) is a character of the day who appeared in Cruisin' for a Losin'. He is a Pokémon Coordinator.
Sonny entered the R1 Rubello Town Pokémon Contest with his Girafarig. After advancing through the Appeals Round, he made it into the semi-finals where he battled Drew. Sonny hoped that he would defeat the Coordinator and take home the Rubello Town Ribbon. Unfortunately, Drew and his Masquerain proved to be stronger than he had hoped, and Sonny and his Girafarig were defeated.

| Sonny's Girafarig was used against Drew's Masquerain in the semi-finals of the Rubello Town Contest. However, Masquerain was too powerful than Sonny had expected. As a result, it defeated his Girafarig after using a combination of Bubble, Ice Beam and Hidden Power.
