This card's illustrator, [[Keita Takahashi]], was one of those chosen to have their artwork featured on a card as part of the [[CoroCoro]] illustration competition in late 1997. It was later reprinted in the Red Deck of the {{TCG|Quick Starter Gift Set}}. This card was released in English as a {{TCG|Wizards Black Star Promos|Wizards Black Star Promotional}} card made available through {{TCG|Pokémon League}}s in August 2002, with English-exclusive artwork. [[Wizards of the Coast]] also ran an illustration competition for the English version of the card, the chosen image being the work of [[Craig Turvey]].

This card's illustrator, Keita Takahashi, was one of those chosen to have their artwork featured on a card as part of the CoroCoro illustration competition in late 1997. It was later reprinted in the Red Deck of the Quick Starter Gift Set. This card was released in English as a Wizards Black Star Promotional card made available through Pokémon Leagues in August 2002, with English-exclusive artwork. Wizards of the Coast also ran an illustration competition for the English version of the card, the chosen image being the work of Craig Turvey.
