Release information

This card was first released in the Mysterious Treasures expansion with artwork by Ryo Ueda, originating from the Japanese Secret of the Lakes expansion. It was reprinted in the Japanese Rampardos the Attacker Half Deck with slightly different artwork by the same artist. A Cosmos Holofoil promotional reprint was 1 of 2 participation prizes awarded to those competing in the Diamond VS Pearl One Day Battle side event at each 2007 Spring Battle Road venue, held in Japan during March and April of that year. Skull Fossil was reprinted again in the Platinum expansion with new artwork by the same artist, originating from the Japanese Galactic's Conquest expansion.
