Silent Chasm (Japanese: 沈黙の谷 Silent Valley) is the fifth dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. The first initial mission requires the rescue of Jumpluff, as well as Shiftry's Rescue Team. At the end of the dungeon on the first visit, the player encounters Zapdos, who takes Shiftry hostage to Mt. Thunder.
The Silent Chasm is a cavern located inside a vast canyon, and is nine floors deep.
In the original games, there is no chance of finding a Monster House, a shop, or a buried item in this dungeon. In the remakes, a shop may be found in the dungeon.
