Shota Kageyama (Japanese: 景山将太 Kageyama Shota) is a video game composer who did work on the soundtrack for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Pokémon Black and White, Pokémon X and Y, and Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. He is also known for his work in Luminous Arc and various Capcom games. Outside of Pokémon, he was featured as a part of the composition team in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U.

On January 1, 2014, Shota Kageyama posted on his Twitter that he had left Game Freak. He noted that he’s “graduating” from the company after having spent the past 6 and a half years there and is branching out to do his own thing with his new company, Spica Musica.
