Release information

In Japan, this card was originally released as a promotional card. It was available through the Pokémon Card Fan Club from April 2000 onwards. In order to obtain it, players had to earn a total of 600 GET Points. This version differs from its Neo Revelation counterpart by having the same embossed foil treatment that would be later featured on the Shining Pokémon in Neo Destiny, and no rarity symbol.

Trivia

Many sources, including the Japanese official Pokémon card database, list the promotional version of this card as being released in May 2001, whereas it was actually made available at or around the same time as the other Fan Club promotional cards.

Origin

This card depicts Magikarp's Shiny form from the Pokémon games. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Gold.
