Science Club

The Science Club (Japanese: サイエンスクラブ Science Club) is a group of trainers who use Grass-type Pokémon in the Pokémon Card GB. It is led by Rick. It appears to be the male counterpart of the Grass Club, because the Science Club has only men and the Grass Club has only women; both clubs use Grass-type cards.
It is likely that the Science Club was created due to the fact that, at the time of the game's release, there were only seven TCG types— one short of the eight that were needed for a game that was like the main series Pokémon games, and, due to the additional double usage of the Fighting-type by both the Fighting Club and Rock Club, the hesitance to use Colorless as a club type.
