Savannah (Japanese: ツキコ Tsukiko) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime. She is a Pokémon Coordinator from Rubello Town and a member of the fan club Mothers for Pokémon.

History

Savannah debuted in a A Fan with a Plan alongside her fellow Mothers for Pokémon members. She was particularly excited to meet Drew and May at the Rubello Town Pokémon Center. May offered to battle Savannah, since Savannah was struggling to consider a strategy for an upcoming Contest. May also taught Savannah to do her best in each battle, even if the opponent is a friend.

In Crusin' for a Losin', Savannah and her Flareon performed well in the Appeals Round, earning themselves a place in the next round. When it came time to the semi-finals, she proved herself to be highly capable by defeating May's Bulbasaur with her Lairon. However, she lost in the finals to Drew's Masquerain.

Savannah and her daughter Sandra made brief cameos in Deceit and Assist, watching May compete in the Hoenn Grand Festival.

Character

Savannah was shown to be a very nervous Coordinator, despite having won a Ribbon prior to her debut. Her past as a traveling Trainer was briefly mentioned in A Fan with a Plan, though she was too embarrassed to elaborate. She is also a very caring mother and her daughter Sandra sometimes helps her with creating strategies for Contests. She became a fan of May and Drew after seeing their performances in previous Contests.

		Lairon
		Lairon was used in A Fan with a Plan, sending the Team Rocket trio blasting off with a surprising Water Pulse. Its unusual moveset was again showcased when Savannah used it in the Battle Round of the Rubello Town Pokémon Contest. It was able to defeat May's Bulbasaur with a paralyzing Shock Wave. Lairon was later defeated by Drew's Masquerain in the Contest finals. Lairon's known moves are Shock Wave, Water Pulse, Take Down, and Metal Claw.
